Close Protection Training
Close Protection Training (Bodyguard training) and gaining a reputable qualification that is approved by the Security Industry Authority (SIA) is an essential requirement for individuals planning to work in the CP industry. Along with this, individuals must also hold a recognised First Aid qualification. Employers of Close Protection operatives increasingly require individuals, as a pre-requisite, to hold an SIA (CP) licence and to have been trained by a reputable training provider.
The course combines both the practical skills and theoretical knowledge that underpin the success of any Close Protection Operative. The course encompasses the mandatory ‘guided learning hours’ required to become qualified. On successful completion candidates will be awarded the following:
QCF Level III Award in Close Protection Operations
The course covers the core skills that are required by a CPO and includes:
- Working as a Close Protection Operative
- Planning, Preparing and Supporting a Close Protection Operation
- Conflict Management within the Private Security Industry
All our training is delivered by operationally experienced industry professionals from a wide range of close protection backgrounds. Our training is demanding, realistic and relevant; meeting the exact requirements of the awarding organisations as set by the SIA guidelines, our training ensures you are prepared through real-life scenario-based training.
24hr Refresher Course
The CP Refresher Course is aimed at candidates with prior private sector experience and relevant training looking to gain their SIA CP license.
Allied International Risk also offers a refresher course, for individuals with previous CP training and experience needing to apply for their SIA license. Please note that any candidate wishing to apply for the refresher training will only be accepted should they meet the awarding bodies criteria and that of the SIA. The refresher training course combines all mandatory elements along with practical exercises, to give candidates confidence when carrying out the assessments and knowledge test for their license.
Please note, to comply with the SIA regulations you are required to have a current First Aid Certificate or equivalent, should you require this as a bolt-on to your training, please contact us.
